Cairns Jetboat Tour Rates and Information
Our Cairns jetboat tours are suitable for most people, taller than 1.1m high. Maximum of 14 passengers per departure. No previous experience or swimming ability is required. Anyone under 18 years of age must travel with a responsible guardian or adult. If you’re concerned about your ability to participate, please contact our office. All jetboat tours are fully supervised by our captains, who are trained and licensed. Safety briefings and equipment is provided, prior to the jetboat tour starting. Some medical conditions, disabilities or impairments may exclude participants from jetboating for safety reasons. Passengers should disclose any conditions at time of booking. No alcohol permitted on any tour. You should allow 50 minutes for this tour. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your booked departure time for check-in and safety briefing before the ride. The actual jetboat ride is 35 minutes. It starts and ends at Cairns’ Marlin Marina. Opportunity to purchase photos and video taken during your jetboat tour.

Can I book this today?
Yes – You can book the Cairns Jetboat Tour for travel today. There’s 4 daily departure times: 10.30am, 11.30am, 2pm and 3pm. This tour is fast, fun and perfect for anyone over 1.1m tall. The highlight of this 50-minute adventure is the 35-minute jetboat ride. Departs from Marlin Marina. We encourage guests to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their tour departure time.
What should I bring?
Wear sunscreen and apply it before check-in please. Bring a towel for after the ride. We have a small storage and while we aim to take great care of your belongings they are left at the wharf at your own risk.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing light, sun-protective clothing and shoes (thongs are ok) that you are happy to get wet. We discourage wearing denims or clothes made from other heavy materials. A locker box is available for your use at check-in.
Will I get wet?
Yes….absolutely! So bring a towel to dry off after the ride. A locker box is provided for storage, during the ride.
Who can join this tour?
Our jetboat rides are designed to be fun and inclusive. Some movement and water spray are involved, and safety is our top priority. There is no minimum age to participate; however, children need to be at least 1.1m tall (without shoes on). Expectant mothers are not permitted to go Jetboating.
How long is the experience?
The actual jet boat ride is 35 minutes, and you should allow about 50 minutes total including check-in and safety briefing.
Is safety gear provided?
Life jackets are fitted to all guests prior to the activity. All guests are also provided with glasses to wear on the trip.
What will we see?
The tour travels through mangrove forests, around the Cairns waterfront and past scenic waterways of Trinity Inlet. Captains share local stories and may point out wildlife and features of the inlet.
Can I bring my camera?
Because of water spray and ride dynamics, it’s best to leave loose electronics secured or at your accommodation. Photo and video packages taken by the crew may be available for purchase afterwards.
