Locally Owned – Since 1986, we’ve been conducting water-based tours. Over the years, we’ve extended our portfolio, to provide market leading rainforest experiences to our valued guests and clients. We’ve built a reputation for the highest quality service, exemplary training and safety standards.

Our People – Are passionate, professional, light hearted and have a vast knowledge of the regions’ wildlife, rainforest, weather, history and rich Aboriginal culture. Our Guides are fun and professional, ensuring everyone has an experience to remember.

Our Fleet – A variety of coaches, ranging from 13 seaters up to 39 seaters, specifically designed to suit our region and provide optimum comfort and practicality. Extra-large windows give our passengers the best views.

When you love your job so much you buy into the business, you know you’re hooked for life. That’s what happened to Roderic Rees, owner and operator of Cairns Adventure Group. Roderic – or Roddy as he’s affectionately known – started as a dedicated Rafting Guide employee back in 2007 before ascending the management ranks and ultimately acquiring the rainforest tour and rafting business. Under his guidance and leadership, the company grew to be ‘Cairns Adventure Group’ with a portfolio that has now expanded to have nine market leading Adventure Tourism brands: Foaming Fury, Raging Thunder Adventures, RnR Rafting, Aussie Drifterz, Waterfall Wanderers, Active Tropics Explorer along with Bad Fishy, Cairns Boat Hire and Cairns River Cruises. Through a mixture of acquisition and invention, the expansion of Cairns Adventure Group, is underpinned by clear growth strategy, vision and company mission, mixed with a strong desire to create jobs and financially support the region’s economic sustainability.
