Embark on a half day tour to Green Island, a spectacular 6000-year-old coral cay in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, departing from the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal. Enjoy a smooth 45-minute journey aboard Great Adventures' fast catamaran across the waters to this iconic World Heritage landmark.
Once on Green Island, you can explore both vibrant coral reefs and lush rainforest. Relax on white sand beaches, swim or snorkel directly from the lifeguard-patrolled beach, or join in with optional activities such as scuba diving and Seawalker helmet diving. A glass bottom boat tour also offers a unique perspective of the marine environment.
Check in at the Great Adventures Reservations Counter inside the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal at 8:00 AM or 10:00 AM to collect your boarding pass. Tea and coffee are available before departure. The catamaran departs at 8:30 AM or 10:30 AM, with on-board snorkelling demonstrations and an eco video about Green Island as you travel.
On the island, collect snorkelling gear from the Dive Shop and book your glass bottom boat tour. Lunch and refreshments are available for purchase at island outlets. Upon completion of your activities, depart Green Island at 2:30 PM or 4:30 PM and return to Cairns at 3:20 PM or 5:20 PM.
