Join Great Adventures for a half-day reef and rainforest adventure to Green Island from Cairns, with snorkelling, swimming, and optional activities in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
Departing from Cairns with Great Adventures, enjoy a half-day eco adventure on Green Island, a coral cay in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Just a 45-minute ride on a fast catamaran, this tour provides access to both rainforest and reef environments in one destination.
Check in at the Great Adventures Reservations Counter inside the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal at either 8:00 AM or 10:00 AM to collect your boarding pass. Complimentary tea and coffee are served until departure. During the 45-minute transfer to Green Island, enjoy a snorkelling demonstration and an informative Eco video presentation.
Upon arrival at Green Island at 9:15 AM or 11:15 AM, choose from a range of activities. Collect snorkelling gear from the Dive Shop for reef exploration, pick up a self-guided Eco Island Walk booklet, swim in the patrolled waters or the Day Visitor Swimming Pool, or simply unwind on white coral sand beaches. Glass bottom boat tours can be booked on arrival.
Optional experiences include scuba diving, guided snorkelling, helmet diving, parasailing, scenic helicopter flights, and visiting the Marineland Melanesia Crocodile Habitat with daily shows. Lunch and refreshments are available from the island's food outlets. Depart Green Island at 2:30 PM, returning to Cairns by 3:20 PM.
