Full day adventure from Cairns to Green Island and the Outer Great Barrier Reef with a scenic helicopter flight. Start your day by checking in at the Great Adventures Reservations Counter inside the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal from 7:30 AM. Board the catamaran at 8:00 AM and depart at 8:30 AM for a 45-minute cruise to Green Island.
Arrive at Green Island at 9:15 AM and enjoy two hours of free time. Snorkel from the lifeguard-patrolled beach, walk through a unique tropical rainforest, relax on the white coral sand, or swim in the island pool. Collect snorkel gear from the Dive Shop and explore at your own pace. Pre-booked optional activities, such as scuba diving or helmet diving, can be commenced as advised.
At 11:20 AM, re-board the vessel for cake and reef presentations on your way to the Outer Great Barrier Reef platform, arriving at 12:30 PM. Here, enjoy three hours of activities including snorkelling, a semi-submersible tour, and spectacular views from the underwater observatory. Marine biologist presentations and fish feeding times are advised during your visit. Enjoy a buffet lunch from 1:00 to 2:30 PM, and relax on the sundeck with tea and coffee available.
Take a 10-minute scenic helicopter flight from the Outer Reef platform for unique aerial views of the reef. The return journey departs the platform at 3:45 PM, with cheese and biscuits served on board. Arrive back at Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal at 5:30 PM.
